Direct & Facultative Property Insurance
The attacks in New York on 11 September 2001 demonstrated that property loss can reach a scale that was previously unimagined in the insurance sector. Four years later, in 2005, the devastation wrought upon New Orleans by Hurricane Katrina was over three times as costly as any other catastrophe that had occurred before. Asset values at risk continue to increase and we are periodically reminded of how exposed to loss or damage these assets are.
Demand has never been greater for property and business interruption insurance with limits and coverage that truly mitigate risk and provide companies with reliable protection for their revenue and profit streams in the event of loss. At Kiln we encourage brokers and clients to work with us in the structure of their insurance placements to arrive at innovative solutions that are equitable and satisfy the business objectives of all parties.
In addition to our London based team of property insurance underwriters in Lloyd’s, we have the capability to underwrite and service local producers of direct and facultative business via our service companies in Singapore and South Africa.
